Lighter side of Lijit

There are many things that I love about working for a start-up...the dress code, the laid back mentality, the beer in the fridge...but the thing that I enjoy the most is the joking around that goes on in our office. My coworkers are a funny sort and there are times that I find myself snorting loudly in amusement. Friday was one of those days. Stan had brought in a cherished relic from his childhood to share with us...

Stan4

Yes. It is. A Members Only™ jacket that Stan had the Apple logo embroidered on when he was twelve. While looking at the jacket on the chair is neat, I thought it would be way cooler if Stan modeled the jacket for us...

Leslie and I were trying to get him to recreate the famous Jordache pose from the eighties. But this look was also a good one for him...

Stan

Notice Leslie's face in the background. She can't even believe just how cool Stan is. Until we see the label on the inside of the jacket...

Can you believe it? Stan's mom (who was visiting our office the same day as the jacket) even remembers sewing that label in there. When I commented on how white the jacket still is, Stan said that it was probably due to the fact that he saved his jacket to wear only on special occasions...like the weekly meeting of the Computer Club.

This blast from the past was brought to you courtesy of Lijit's CTO, Stan James, my camera, and some downtime around the office on a Friday afternoon. You gotta love a geek...
