Lijit's Totally Arbitrary iPhone Giveaway

Okay, okay....it's true. We do have a small quantity of iPhones in our possession that we just can't wait to give away to some of our lucky Lijit users. (Blame it on the recent funding burning a hole in our pockets.) In case it wasn't glaringly obvious from the title of this post, this is not a contest or a sign-up promotion. We are just looking to reward some of our Lijit users and let them know how much we appreciate them.

Greg has been with us since we were a company known by another name and his loyalty has won us over. Besides that, his user name is Greggles and quite frankly, that makes Leslie giggle. Two good reasons right there. We sent him his new toy last week and he was kind enough to post about it. His blog post about opening the box from Lijit is funny and he captures each precious moment with a picture. A big thanks to Greg, who has been Lijit for over a year! Enjoy the iPhone buddy.

Lucas, with your promise of posing with the sneakers, you have officially made it onto the list of potential candidates, which is actually much shorter than you'd think. Maybe a prominent placing of the wijit on your blog would sway me...

What about giving an iPhone to someone who can't use it? :)

I think we get them in Aus next year some time, such a shame. The only EDGE carrier over here is very unpopular with the tech savvy. Here's hoping for a 3G iPhone!

So... if I won an iPhone... I could browse to Lijit and do a search on "iPhone" on the iPhone, and then blog about that, and other people could search my blog with the Lijit wijit for iPhone and find my story...

Kato...you've got it right. However, you would need to actually have a Lijit wijit on your site for that scenario to work. Oh snap!

True. This would inspire me to monkey with my template some more and get it in there. Of course, my template is held together with so much duck tape and offerings to the Geek Gods that it might explode if I touch it. If you get an e-mail from me full of sobbing, you'll know it didn't go well. ;)

I'm not sucking up for the Iphone - but I think members that have been around before the contest should be all that's included - of course unless your traded a porsche or something for the iphone :P

Creeva, I agree with your point which is why we're not using the iPhone as a promotion for new users. It's more a way to thank the users who have been with us for a while and to generate some positive buzz. But since we didn't want to have many more rules than that...hence, the name of our giveaway.

I love my new lijit widget prominently displayed in the upper left corner.

I like the feature of the search coming up on that page.
