Some racing evangelism...
There are some of us around the office who fancy ourselves to be race car drivers while driving to and from work (Stan, for example) and those of us around the office that actually attend race car driving school. Todd and Leslie would be the attendees in the latter category. This past weekend, Todd, Leslie and a handful of other fast car owners met up for the High Performance Driving School that takes place on the Pueblo race track. (You might remember that the first time Leslie attended, earlier this year, she took home the Most Improved Driver award!) Here is a picture of Leslie coming out of a turn...
Although there was a lot of high-speed action that took place at the race track, I was also notified that there was some Lijit evangelism going on as well, as you can see from the next picture.
Towards the end of the racing day, a mysterious stranger cautiously approached Todd and Leslie. Turns out the stranger was none other than Aaron, a Lijit user and fellow fast car aficionado. He actually found out about the driving school from Leslie's post and found out about Leslie from my first ever Get to Know Lijit post. Funny, eh? Here they are...showing how blogging connections can translate into real life racing connections...
The moral of this story? If you want a Lijit t-shirt badly enough, all you need to do is walk up to the person in the Lijit t-shirt and say hi. Aaron, your t-shirt is in the mail!

Hey.... is that a Fat Tire Ale that Leslie is holding??? Mmmmmm....

Why yes, yes it is. It was a fine and tasty way to end a hard day of driving, as well as a lovely beverage over which to enjoy my chat with Aaron. I'm a little bummed that it's blocking the "L" on my shirt, though. ;-)

Its sad, but in the great state of Utah, we are currently unable to legally purchase Fat Tire Ale here. My supply has to be obtained through ...... other means.
Oh, did I mention that our cat likes Fat Tire too? http://prometheus.med.utah.edu/~bwjones/C1276349108/E20070102101150/index.html
