Breakin' down Defrag
On Monday and Tuesday, we had a booth at the Defrag conference in downtown Denver. It was a chance to meet and hang out with other cool companies in the same space.
We met some current users and had a good time turning people into wijits. For your viewing pleasure, some of the experts we found at Defrag...
Jeff Herman, of Fuser
Ari Newman, filtrbox
Molly Stanberry, host of MacMost

Jerri, who installed our wijit on her horse blog
and then wrote a wonderful post about Lijit
Clarence Wooten, of Collective X, showed us both sides of entrepreneurship.
JP Rangaswami, a real joker
Chris Locke, who looked a little nervous
Discussions, breakout sessions and open space, oh my!
Along with friendships and food...
There were many different ideas discussed during the two days. To help summarize, Leslie and I compiled a list of some of the more interesting things we heard discussed at Defrag. In no particular order, here are some of our favorite quotes...
"Visualization answers questions you didn't know you had." Matt Hurst
"You find things by knowing who to ask." Steve Larsen
"How do we make the world matter to us together?" David Weinberger
"The power is not in the artifact, it is in what you can do with it." JP Rangaswami
"Search is going to have the same transforming approach on society as the printing press." Jeremie Miller
"From the picture on your blog, I thought you'd be shorter." Ross Carlson, to me
Defrag was a great conference and Lijit is glad to have been a sponsor. We love getting to interact in the community and turn new people on to our service. Big thanks to Eric Norlin for organizing the event and answering all of my questions. He has his Defrag debrief up. (Brad, Graeme and Ari also have good things to say about it.)

It was great meeting you guys at BlogWorld! It was a fun conference, except that it was too short and we didn't have enough time to learn all that we wanted to learn or spend time with all the nice people we met. I can't wait for next year.
By the way, thanks for the cool Lijit shirt. You totally kicked butt in the "Feels So Good" t-shirt category. Everyone else's shirts feel like steel wool compared to yours.

Thanks for the kind words Flippy. We get lots of compliments about our t-shirts but yours is one of the best! It was wonderful meeting you and please let me know if you ever have any questions or issues with your wijit.
