Coming soon to a conference near you!
I'll be going to represent Lijit, learn more about blogging, hang with cool chicks and meet new users. I'm excited, because as geeky as it sounds, I've never been on an official business trip before and I can't wait to tell my dinner companions that I'm "expensing" it. (I've only seen it done in movies!) Seeing as I haven't been to Chicago since high school, I'm looking forward to exploring the city a bit, especially as an adult of drinking age. If you're going, please look for me. I'll be wandering around the conference in my Lijit shirt with plenty more to give away. Don't be afraid to say hi. It will be nice to be spending a weekend with other people who won't look at me weird when I mention that I'm totally blogging about this.
One of our developers, Andy , and our CTO, Stan, will be attending this one in August. Besides some good bonding time for the boys, this will be an awesome opportunity for them to talk up Lijit with other tech types. Our Search Wijit is prominently displayed on the official Gnomedex blog, which means that you can search all of the different people who are attending. With a list including Guy Kawasaki, Darren Barefoot, Jason Calcanis and Ronni Bennett, that's a lot of information in one place!
This is a brand-new conference, happening close to our home, in Denver. It's not until November, so you have some time to plan for it, but don't wait too long because you'll miss the early bird prices. We are especially excited about this one, because we are one of the silver sponsors. This conference will be focusing on the implicit web, that "aha" moment and how new tech will connect together to facilitate more of those moments. The Lijit Search Wijit can be found on the Defrag blog...which means that all the Defrag knowledge (and that of it's speakers and advisory board) is yours for the searching.
While we may run into each other at Blogher. It is a shame that the same opportunity won't exist for Gnomedex. Your really missing out by not getting to tag along to Seattle. Especially after Chris made such a big deal about the subject of conferences and women earlier this year.

Iggy, I look forward to seeing you at BlogHer. It shouldn't be hard since you'll be in the minority. However, choices had to be made and the boys won the Indian leg wrestling tourney...so I'm staying home for Gnomedex. Maybe next year?
