Everyone knows that Lijit travels well, but up until Sunday, we weren't really sure where Lijit was travelling. Now, with a cool stats enhancements that we are affectionately calling Geostats, you can find out where people are searching you from and about what topic. If you check your stats page, you'll see this new map graphic...
with the dots alerting you to where recent searches on your blog have come from. I love knowing that someone in Romania is searching me about running or that a Chinese reader from my blog really likes the "Get to know Lijit" feature and has searched me for that four times. Call me a stats geek, but I think it's a fantastic addition to the stats we offer. Talk about a visual that drives home the point that the world is getting smaller everyday.
This is just one of the things that we've been doing at the new office. Another thing now that we are in downtown Boulder...we have visitors! One of our users, Phil from Bad Astronomy, stopped in to say hello. It's awesome that our open-door policy encourages such things. Of course, we had to repay the favor by giving him a Lijit shirt and turning it into a photo op.
But Phil hasn't been our only visitor. We've also been sure to open up the invitation for any other start-ups in the area to pop in whenever they get the chance. Here is a pic of what happened when EventVue dropped by...
A foosball match between the start-ups took place! You can tell a lot about a start-up by their foosball-playing abilities. Without giving away any company secrets, I can tell you that Lijit soundly beat EventVue and is willing to take on any other start-ups out there. And yes, that is a challenge!
Finally, the last visitor I'd like to showcase made his appearance first thing this morning. He was waiting in Todd's office when we arrived to work.
Being the hospitable company that we are, we set about making our new friend feel welcome. After posing for some pictures,
we decided to show him how we roll in the new office. So Andy took him on in foosball, and Daniel, being the vegetarian that he is, cheered on the turkey and offered him some encouragement...
We still haven't figured out how the turkey made it into Todd's office, but some mysteries aren't meant to be solved. Hope you have as much fun with turkey in the next couple of days that we did today!
Redefining the tradition of Turkey Day foosball.

Nutty turkey there. Maybe he likes air hockey more.
I grabbed the code for lijit, but still trying to get my head around the best way to use it for my blog. There are so many widgets to choose from. I do have lots of web accounts, but don't have time to post to them much, and prefer to focus on 1 or 2, so searching them all doesn't get me anything right now.
